In the 5 years since AQ has run Ride the Lightning, we’ve had the pleasure of welcoming a wide range of speakers to share ideas with the community to spark exchange. Many of them were first time speakers or seasoned speakers introducing fresh thinking and new projects.
For our last Ride the Lightning event of 2018, we’re hosting a workshop in conjunction with Women Talk Design (https://womentalkdesign.com/about/) to encourage new speakers to share their stories in front of our community and beyond.
Do you want to start speaking at conferences? Maybe public speaking terrifies you but you know it’s good for your career. But where do you start? You have a lot of ideas, but what are you actually qualified to speak about?
You'll get practice identifying:
- your personal ‘why’
- your audience
- what topics you can speak about
- Walk away with ideas you can start building into a talk!
The workshop will be conducted in English and Japanese.
Beverages and light snacks will be available.
